The test of time is the best way to judge a pressure washer. LANDA's popular line of PHWS (Portable Hot Water) electric, oil-fired washers has met the challenge.

Since the first PHWS came off the line in 1980, LANDA has rolled off more than 25,000 units of this popular washer.

When LANDA engineers created the PHWS, the now famous 'lay down' hot-water washers, with their energy efficient horizontal coils, were just beginning to make inroads in the marketplace.

LANDA carefully analyzed competitor models and settled on a new design that corrected their weaknesses. Among the innovations, LANDA installed a slide out service platform for easy access by technicians; made the water tank of rust-free polyethylene and mounted it on the side for ease of servicing and replacing; moved the fuel tank below to fix the fuel line plugging; installed 'wheelbarrow' handles and pneumatic tires for easier maneuvering; and designed the stainless-steel-wrapped pop-out coil so it could be remove in minutes, instead of hours.

In short, a new pressure washer was born that now sets the standard for the industry.
