DESICCANT DRYERS
CDT Series

Heatless Desiccant Compressed Air Dryers For pressure dew points of +38°F to -100°F, (+3°C to -73°C)

Meeting and Exceeding ISO 8573.1 Air Quality Classes

Standard Controller Features:

  • Four dew point selections
  • State-of-the-art Controller
  • Purge Optimizer
  • Programable shut-down capabilities
  • Dew point performance per ISO 8573.1

Dew Point - -100°F (-73°C) / ISO Class - 1
Dew Point - -40°F (-40°C) / ISO Class - 2
Dew Point - -4°F (-20°C) / ISO Class - 3
Dew Point - +38°F (+3°C) / ISO Class - 4

CDT Series Controller/Purge Optimizer features:

  • Choice of settings 10%,20%,30%,40%,50%,60%,70% with selector switch
  • Reduce the regeneration (purge) cycle to save energy under reduced air load conditions (i.e. 50% purge air at 50% load)

Optional Energy-Saving Controller Features:

  • Automatic purge air management
  • Linear Purge Air-to-Load Energy Savings
  • Vacuum Fluorescent Text Display
  • Available on Models CDT40-5400 scfm

Patented CDT Series purge saving system uses temperature sensors to match purge air requirements on the dryer.

  • Linear purge-to-load matching down to 2.2% purge at 16% load conditions

Benefits:

  • Uses highly reliable temperature sensors
  • Regeneration occurs before the heat of adsorption is lost
  • No sensor calibration required
  • Service reminders

Patented Operation of Optional Energy Saving Controller

  • Tower 2 goes off-line; sensor B1 takes reading
  • Tower 2 regenerates; sensor B1 takes another reading
  • Temperature difference is indirect measurement of load on the dryer
  • Microprocessor determines temperature rise that will occur when Tower 2 goes on-line and becomes fully loaded
  • Tower 2 goes on-line; sensor B2 monitors temperature
  • When the calculated temperature rise occurs, Tower 2 goes off-line for regeneration

CDT 590-5400 Models Standard Features:

  • Left and right tower pressure gauges
  • Purge pressure gauge
  • Moisture indicator- alerts operator of elevated dew point
  • Air operated butterfly valves and dual piston, double acting rack and pinoin actuators
  • Single solenoid, four way pilot valves are wired to the controller and used to direct pilot air to the actuators of the inlet switching and purge/repressurization valves
  • Check valves are soft seated for sure closure and minimal wear
